Google and Twitter

Could anyone post a link to some search results (or just a keyword) that generated a link to a tweet? I haven't come across it so far and I'm unable to reproduce it.

And does google index ALL tweets, or just those from reputable twitter users?

I don't think it actually indexes them, but if you search for something that's being talked about alot on twitter, then click "Latest" on the left under More Search Tools, it will give you Tweets as they come in without having to refresh the page.

You can even just search for 'online casinos' and click on 'Latest' to see lots of tweets.

twitter is advantageous for website promotion. with google love for twitter, it is a win win situation for each one of us.

This is more a question of prestige. i do not suppose that it gives much value (from the SEO point) to your site, but all good companies and businesses have Twitter. It is not hard at all, so why not? This is more for customers, not for promoters...

I agree it's definitely good for website promotion. Just the sheer # of people on Twitter means you can't completely ignore it. Their European HQ is actually moving to Dublin in the new few weeks (random piece of information for you)!!

Google tries to include buzz and links from SM in rankings algorithm. I think that it is already has huge influence on rankings, but I expect more in the future, especially when we talk about G+.
