Default Genting Affs Closing USA Affiliate Acc?

Did anyone get a letter that Genting were shutting down all USA affiliate accounts? Mine is still active but others are saying they got a letter?

I did not get this letter (yet).

Hundreds of affiliate programs pay U.S. affiliates that promote their casinos to non-U.S. players -- these days, this shouldn't be an issue. They certainly shouldn't be closing accounts, especially if the affiliate is willing to make alternate payment arrangements.

Hopefully Genting will sort this out quickly.

Genting will be removed from the sponsorship program if they are planning on cutting off US affs without payment (continuous payment) of owed monies from players.

Many months ago I was told by an affiliate manager working for a non USA program that he could see their casino eventually being forced to shut down all wires and checks into the USA.Their view was it could put their chance for licensing at risk and also they would have to use channels that could put them at risks for money seizures etc. Will they let you sell your accounts?

I asked about selling my account this morning, but I haven't received a response yet.

    I just now received this:

You will be paid in full for all action that you have sent us so far, and we fully intend to leave the accounts open for any future action from existing players you have sent us, so we’re certainly not stealing from you for any traffic you have sent us so far.
So it seems like they just aren't accepting any "new" players from affiliates who happen to reside in the U.S. Not great, but at least it looks like they will continue paying residuals as promised. Time will tell, of course, but hopefully they will follow through on this.

Genting will be responding to this very soon. I have communicated with their team and asked for a detailed response to affiliates in regards to this issue. I believe their upcoming post will shed more light on the situation and properly resolve the US based affiliate situation.

    Hi All,

I just wanted to clarify the situation with regards to Genting working with US affiliates. I have been asked by Genting management to request that all US-based affiliates remove the Genting brands (Genting Casino, Genting Poker, Circus Casino and Circus Poker) from their websites. We will be leaving all US affiliate accounts open and payments on players sent already will continue as long as those players continue to play in our casinos. Be assured that all commissions will continue on your existing player base, lifetime rev share still means lifetime rev share.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for clarifying this. Can't say I agree with the move but I am sure there is a good reason.
