[Guard Dog]

AGD was hacked yesterday. Nothing stolen from the database or anything like that, just a hack-bot. However, part of the site is still down while I find all insertions into the code

If something doesn't work, then please let me know.

It's amazing to me - maybe it was random, but all things considered it is likely the dog can get some serious enemies since the whole point is to expose assholes to begin with. (sorry if I'm blowing it out of proportion - I'm still feeling my own pain - see below)

If it makes you feel any better I almost lost my index finger and this is taking me much longer to write than normal. I was mixing concrete and the mixer fell over. Kristen wasn't around and it was full of mix, so I couldn't pick it up from one side. SO I grabbed it from the middle not thinking to turn it off first. Grabbed the wheel which took my finger right through the spinning gear. Ripped off my finger nail about 2/3rds... and smashed the finger. I realize we must have those things to protect our fingers cause I'd be missing the the tip of mine had it not been for my tough nails.

Geez, I hope Kristen thumps you on the head for that! Safety first, never follow an impulse when working with your hands. That said, I hope you are icing it to keep the swelling down... (boy, I sound just like my mom. How did that happen? )

GamesandCasino got hacked several times over the years, now it sits in a fortress and we monitor logs all the time...

I really don't know if these things are done by nitwits who have nothing better to do with their time or by people who want to take you out for one reason or another.

I don't need thumping after that. I really got lucky, I think I was feeling sorry for myself when I wrote that ... Its less then half the nail ... more than 25% though :P ... it looked pretty gory when it happened and I was imagining the worst at first

I just got back from Niagara Falls -- what a crazy weekend you guys had! Hopefully there won't be any more hack attempts... And WCD, I hope your finger is feeling better -- ouch!!

My only story is I drank too much this weekend in AC, and lost a bunch of money! I hope the finger is ok you have to protect those things they are gold for this biz! Glad AGD is back to normal.

WCD Admin, sorry to hear about your finger man. I know that must have hurt like hell. I used to be in the construction business for years and we had at least one accident at the job sites like yours about once a month. Sometimes it happens so quickly before you can even think. Hope it heals well and feels better soon...
