    Arrow Free Money Bonuses Poll

This may have already been posted here in the past but lets do a new one and see what everyone's thoughts are now.

Question: When you give out a free money bonus, no matter the size, what percentage of your player sign-ups (on average) actually come back and become regular depositing players at XYZ Casino?

Operators and Affiliate Managers are welcome to respond as well. I think it would be better for us all to get a clearer picture on the Free Money Bonuses and how they affect the bottom line or are they just useless?

    Hi Rob,

it depends on the casino, the offer, and the software.
rival is the worst converting software for me. believe it or not I have had the most conversions with best casino partners. I have the best affiliate manager, and they have such great free rolls with huge prizes, this keeps my players coming back again, and again!!
this is just my experience. I would love to hear from other affiliates as well...

Good poll Rob, but how on earth do you know what your players do?

e.g. With Rival; if I see any new players in a month with no deposits or withdrawals I assume they have taken the free-chip - but there's no was to be sure. Likewise, if a player HAS deposited, I don't know if they took the free-chip first or not. (unless there's a report I haven't discovered yet!)

So I just had to guess & voted 10-20%.

I still think the Rival free-chip is an excellent system; even if players don't deposit straight away, at least the casino has their details and can add them to the mailing list for promotions. When the player sees an offer of interest, they already have a account at the casino and so are more likely to take it IMO.

    I voted on the 0-10%

I probably am higher than that.

Here is the way I look at it. If you get 10 signups and 1 goes on to be a good depoistor, no big deal but thats great. If you get 50 signups and 5 depositors over a month, who wouldn't want that? The scale just keeps rising depending on how much traffic you get.

Get'm signed up anyway you can and give the casino a chance to do their job. Some will do very good and some won't.

Thanks for the poll Rob and have a great weekend everyone!

(PS) KK, you can track if you care to take the time to do it. You can use sub id's or create a new campaign. Personally thats just to much work for me but many affiliates do that.

From what I have seen it is around 5%.

I should probably add that this doesn't include the free spins bonuses..
This is just for the XX free no deposit etc.

    I voted 10 to 20%

I think who is looking for free, is not willing to spend any money at the moment, but this might change. I see at some programs 1st depositors who signed up over 6 month ago and longer.

There are online casinos doing a wonderful job trying to make the "free players" depositors

Some casinos I signed up for a free bonus never sending me any e-mail anymore.
From some others the e-mails stop after I have not been in the casino for a few weeks even I have been a depositor. - I asked on live chat from a microgaming casino for my account since I lost my login details and asked why they never sending me any promos anymore, they simply answered that I have been inactive for some time and then the e-mails stop.
Why? Why do some casino make such settings? If I have money to play, then I remind the casino which sent me an e-mail not to long ago.

I voted 0 - 10% because that's what it seems like to me. I would say about 2-3% for me, personally. ND is good for some, but I think you almost need a specific ND site to really make it work for you.

I have a bonus site and it does ok with ND and better than the rest of my sites with the same ND bonus on it. But still not better than 5%.

I actually believe it would be the other way around Andy..

If a player is looking for free money, they are probably not going to make any deposits. Whereas if a player is looking for the biggest bang for his buck and makes it to a site that offers mostly deposit bonuses with a few no deposit bonuses in there, the player is more likely to deposit once they have taken the nd bonus because they intended to deposit in the first place.

    Hope that makes sense

Good points, Renee. I never thought of it that way because I know some folks doing very well off ND sites. My site is all bonuses, so maybe that is why I do see some play.
