    Default Fighting for rightful commissions

In a carry over from lots0 adding his poll:
    Cross marketing problem

This topic is not an isolated incident.
Over the past 12 months we're seeing more and more affiliates protesting against programs enlisting varied unethical marketing campaigns to tagged players.

Albeit depending on who is doing it, some affiliates don't seem to care. However for those that do have an issue with a program trying to steal rightful earnings out of your pocket, should we just stand by, not say jack and wave bye bye to our legitimate earnings each month?

    I for one say NO!

Whilst I agree naming and shaming should only be used as a last resort, on the flip these unethical practices are turning into an epidemic which ultimately it's hard working, ethical affiliates who are left out of pocket.

Is it time to start kicking up the dust on programs who think they can steal from affiliates?

How many affiliates are there working on the internet today?
    (My guess - many 1000's)
How many affiliates are members of this forum?
(My guess - maybe 2 dozen?)

I share your sentiments, but realistically we don't have a snowball's chance in hell of changing anything.

The only thing we can do personally is dump programs we don't trust.
    But will that change anything?
    I doubt it.

There are a lot more than a couple dozen affiliates at AGD I think we have some of the best affiliates here, IMO, as well. There are a ton of 'lurkers' who do login, but do not post.

But I still understand what you mean. It is tough to get people to 'act' upon the information anywhere. It is very infrequent that we all get together for a cause. I wish that were different.

But - I think, under the hood, a lot of us to remove programs that are seen as unfavorable here due to either shady behavior or bad communication.

Without going into the de facto difference between an advocacy and a commercial site I think it is a very good idea to kick up dust. The duff and detritus should be swept out the door or it will go under the carpet.

"You couldn't buy me even if you paid off my mortgage" is something i believe completely from our Host here. What sucks is that the AGD mission, by virtue of its workings, is so focused that issues that are not dealt with at the commercial sites really can't be dealt with here other than to inform. And people aren't listening!

For every crap casino there are hundreds of crap affiliates and thousands of foolish players who should know better. And I wonder why I can count my solid clients on one hand? I call affiliates crooks and thieves on a daily basis, partners in crime. It just baffles me that a leader hasn't risen from the cesspool but guys like Dave and me (and a host of other miscreants) are eccentric characters and are often subjected to ad hominem attacks or ignored for our style or passions (and total beligerence in my case) when the lackies, minions, surrogates, misinformed, and accused fail to address the message and shoot the messenger. Then social promotion and status quo and filthy lucre and EGO and a host of other considerations in effect quell the voices of those who really do know what's up and aren't afraid to put it out there.

When it comes to the workings between properties and those they pay to promote them I simply have to shake my head and say, "Wow". The issues that Aussie Dave may be addressing will never be dealt with on a commercial site. I have seen it, I have been involved, I know this as a fact. So where is this Voice to be heard?

Right here. Take your peers to task. Ask affiliate A in public why they promote program Z. We have been waiting two months now for tests on a certain program even though the facts are on the table. Make it a priority. Ask!

Of course if, like I imagine, most affiliates see the writing on the wall and don't want to make any waves - just do what they can to get by waiting for the end of the Industry as you know it and hoping that maybe, just maybe you will have a part in the next phase then oh well! At least have enough integrity to lift the carpet or hold the broom.

Yes Dave it is time to kick up dust wherever your voice is heard!
