Default Facebook Ads: Gambling ads no available

What's weird is that my ads were approved and active for like a week. Then I received this email an hour ago:

We've noticed that you are currently running Facebook Ads that violate our Advertising Guidelines or Terms of Use.

We found that the content advertised by this account is prohibited. We reserve the right to determine what advertising we accept, and we may choose to not accept ads containing or relating to certain products or services. We do not allow ads for gambling and will not allow further creation of such ads.

Please delete any ads that violate these policies within 48 hours to bring your account into compliance with Facebook policies. Also , please ensure that such ads are not created in the future. Continuing to run ads that violate our policies may result in additional action being taken on your account, including possible termination.

Maybe they were too generic. When they changed policy a cpl of weeks ago to officially allow gambling ads it was with the stipulation the ads be targeted to jurisdictions that specifically allow online gambling.

The evil FB changes all the time and they may have reversed the policy and banned all gambling ads again though.

That's so bizarre! Seems like no one can make up their minds about online gambling at the moment lol But looking at it from another point of view, maybe this is a blessing in disguise for you. PPC rarely generates any decent traffic or conversions, especially from online gamblers. Not to mention that it also costs a fortune

Here's what i got from a FB account rep:

Note we allow gambling in the following countries dependent on provision of license

    UK (Casino, Poker Sports betting)
Ireland (Sports betting) - UK license will suffice
France (Casino, Poker, Sports) - National license required
Italy (Casino, Poker, Sports) - National license required
Spain (Sports betting and Casino) - license needs to be Spanish Govt
Australia (Casino, poker & Sports betting) - State license will cover all of Australia
New Zealand (Casino, Poker & Sports) – National license
Germany (Skill games only) - Legal memo required validating that client is allowed to run their skill games in Germany (no license available yet)

Once it's signed and returned it will need to be countersigned on our end. Please ensure that the Adobe Print settings under the “Comments and Forms” section has "Documents and Stamps" selected to ensure that the Legal stamp shows up on the documents as the document needs to have our legal stamp or they'll need to be re-signed.

After this we can start operating under these policies.

In summary, the main changes as a result of this are as follows:

Although your posts will still need to abide by our advertising guidelines for gaming/gambling ads, they'll no longer need to be reviewed by our policy team prior to posting.
You will no longer be restricted to four posts per Page per week.
For fun applications may now link to gaming/gambling sites. This also means that you may now use custom landing tabs on your Pages that direct off Facebook to your site.

As mentioned during our call, this is a brand new change so if you have any questions feel free to pass them on and I am happy to escalate them to the relevant teams.

    Regards

    hope it helps

Facebook becomes more and more commercial...I mean that there is very attractive conditions for advertising here. Especially it can be useful for gambling and gaming niches. I am trying to get through SMO now, so Facebook ads seems to be good way of promoting... I suppose I will try it!
