Default Delete your competitors from the Google SERP!

A new CROME extension will allow users to permanently "BLOCK" any domain they choose from the google SERP they see with just a click or two..... and here is the good part.... then the blocked domain gets reported to google as a "USER_BLOCKED" domain and the rumor is that this info will also be used as one of those famous google ranking factors.

I am just wondering how long before sites start dropping out of the SERP...
Should be perdy quick... as soon as the 'bad guys' realize how this is gonna work...

I wonder what the going rate is gonna be for 1000 unique IP's blocking a single domain

OMG. I thought Google was smarter than this. Looks to me to be a much easier way to 'Google Bowl' What happens if we get every webmaster to block Google?

Matt has confirmed the connection between Rankings and this new reporting method.

Hopefully their algorithms will be smart enough to detect which sites are content rich and that will supersede any feedback from the extension. It reiterates to me that building content rich sites should be a big priority for any webmaster. But no sense in wasting energy on something you can't control.

LMAO at blocking google. I guess that would paint a pretty good picture for them if it is open to manipulation.

If google could "detect which sites are content rich" in the first place they would not need to try this kind of crap.

I do have to laugh though, the Great Google having to RESORT to using actual Human Minds to 'help' select their SERP... So they are a headed toward being nothing more than a fancy Directory.... LOL

If its true, us webmasters could use it to band together and really take down places like Grand Prive.

Pretty scary if this is true just think about how happy the black hats are going to be! They can ban together and take down good white hat ranking sites!

    Oh it's true all right.

You can install the extension right now.

...and as of last night, according to Matt Cutts (googles top search guy), google has already started using the data from the extension.

You can already find outfits that are selling the Black Hat end of this.
The BH SEO world is just about out of their f---ing evil little minds over this...

Personally, I think there is more to this than meets the eye. Google, is not about to open their algo to blatant manipulation, at least in public... and very very much unlike the oh so secretive google, they made this new 'feature' VERY public, before it was even released.

Things like that make me wonder if this isn't is just another back handed attempt to take down the content spammers and Black Hats.
