Exclamation Attn: Calling Rival Affiliate Managers - BJ Issue

This post is specifically for affiliate managers and casino operators of Rival Casinos (both Whitelabel and Sister Casinos) as well as Rival Gaming Representatives:

Please contact me via PM or at the following email (email at bottom of post) if you wish your response to be anonymous, in which case I will post information without referring to the source. This is a very important topic.

Questions - RE: BlackJack Payout and the ability to manipulate payouts

Summary: It has come to the attention of the player community and now the affiliate community that at least 1 Rival Casino has changed the payout of BlackJack, giving the casino a much higher advantage. (Changing the 3:2 payout for BlackJack to 1:1)

    Questions to Affiliate Managers:

    1. Can Rival Casinos (individually) adjust the payout/RTP of other games? If so, which games can be changed?

    Questions for Rival:

    1. How many Rival Casinos changed the BlackJack payout to 1:1 prior to Rival's recent change (in which we were told that all Blackjack payouts are reset to 3:2 Rival-wide)?

    2. Which games have settings (which can be changed by the individual operators) that can change their odds/RTP? Can Slot games be changed?

    2. What will be done in the future to ensure that games cannot be adjusted 'outside the norm'?

    3. WHEN did Tradition make this change and WHY did Rival's system not interpret this as 'cheating'.

    4. Will an audit be performed to ensure that BlackJack players are compensated for this blatant game misrepresentation?

I can be emailed directly at:

Please contact me, immediately, to help us resolve this issue.

    Thank you.

    Hi Andy

We can state that our BJ % has always been 3:2 It's the first time we hear of something like this.

We believe this is an issue with Tradition directly and the rest of us who have always play fair shouldn't be involved.

    My best,

Hi Charlie here from First Gaming Partners.

Just a quick note here on those issues raised in this thread that I'm able to answer:

Adjusting BJ game payouts - there is an option to change the blackjack payouts, but I think this is only according to one or two variations of the game and existing rules that stem from land-based casinos. Far as I know, the only way to do this is directly through Rival, as they would need to integrate the new table design and felt markings for the players.

For the record we have never changed the default settings on either our regular or multiplayer blackjack games.

The only other input we have as Rival operators that directly concerns gameplay is the ability to increase or decrease the betting limits/stakes per game - here we have made changes at both Slot Power and Vanguard Casino to provide the widest range of betting limits possible to give maximum freedom to our players.

The payout percentages are NOT adjustable, and never have been, at the very least not since 2008 when we launched Slot Power. Rival also takes pains to publish expected payout percentage of each game in the Help menu, making this information freely available for players.

    Hope this helps,

    Charlie

    Hello Andy and All,

I would like to confirm that BJ at SlotsofFortune has been paying 3:2 since the launch.

In addition to what Paul and Charlie have already said, I’d have to mention that each casino takes necessary measures to control the kind of access given to the casino backend for each employee. While the operators can only adjust the betting limits per game, and not the payout percentages, even setting betting limits is restricted to very few employees which is usually just one person.

    Best regards,
    Natalie Stewart.

While we have the attention of a few Rival Reps here (Thanks to all by the way!)

Can one or more of you PLEASE ask Rival if the RTP quoted in the rules of these 2 slot games are actually correct - because I would bet my bottom dollar that 1 at least is wrong:-

Hole in Won; RTP "About 99%"
Cosmic Quest - Episode 2; RTP "About 98%"

    Thanks,

Friends, this is a time where you really need to be honest with us because every eye is on you just looking for a clue that would expose things to a level that for me ... would be enough to wash my hands of the whole deal.

I am not saying you're not being honest but you are certainly not addressing the whole issue.

there was more than just the payout being changed. The rules of the game were changed which means almost anything could be possible.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I don't think so. There was also the issue of the games not allowing to double down on a split.

    ..........

Having said that, I have checked box24 and it was allowing the double down after split but that could be because I got there after it was changed, I cannot say other than that at this time the game is not doing any of the things which Tradition casino was accused.

So it is likely an individual situation/choice but then that really brings up questions as to just how much control does an individual casino have over the games?

being able to change the rules moves things over to being more than just an ability to change things financially.

Anybody else get what i mean? I know I'm not very good sometimes at getting my thoughts across clearly. Maybe you could reword it? but in my mind there is ability to change how much money is paid back, and then there is changing rules of a game. both big, but different.

KK, data I have acquired says that Hole in Won payout ranges from 95 - 99.5% depending on how skilled the player is at mini golf in the bonus round game.

I don't have info on Cosmic Quest 2, but if its similar to CQ1 then again the payout is determined by bonus game skill.

    That is a possibility.
Originally I had the feeling that how many putts you took on Hole in Won was NOT directly connected to how many coins you would win, but I think they changed it about 6-9 months ago so that now it DEFINITELY is related.
I record ALL my slot play at Rival casinos - so I'll go through a load of logs later & see what I find...
