Can someone from the US please go to coolhandpoker.com and see if they also get the pop up or redirect?

I give these guys tons of coverage and will not be happy if they are siphoning off my US players!! In fact, I have the top position in G for their site name (right behind the site itself)... it would be a shame if I had to post bad publicity about them....

I wish I hadn't started reading this thread now - I'm SO confused!

Focal Click are behind Omni - a PlayTech casino - what has that to do with this MG casino?
And how can this MG casino/poker room be "siphoning off" USA players when Americans are not allowed to play at any MG site in the first place...?

In a nutshell - a month (or so) ago, it was discovered that Omni and Sun (Focal Click) were re-directing American players who landed on their pages to a third party site. The site was/is an affiliate portal. So, in essence, they are passing our players (the ones we send through our links) to another affiliate site.

from the wording of post above, I assume this is what is happening now at Jackpotcity - a Referback property. My concern is that if they are redirecting from one property, they may be doing it at others.

Terry, no redirect or pop up at Cool Hand Poker. Just went there and it was cool.

Thanks Pat - that's the only Referback property I list....

I would love to hear from Cobus or one of the other reps though, re; Jackpotcity. This is not cool for their affiliates and needs to be dealt with ASAP!

For the record, even though these casinos don't accept American players, and even though I discourage my readers from the US from visiting these properties, they do anyway.

In Feb - Cool Hand Poker received 25 American visits from my links.
In March - so far they have received 21 visitors from the US via my sites.

That's 46 potential customers that I could have lost to a competitor if Cool Hand was using the redirect/pop up to direct players to a competing portal.

I am just confused on why this is really an issue though to be honest. I know this will not be a popular thing to say but why is this so bad? We as affiliates can implement a code to have a pop up for players that land on say a Rival site that we no longer want to promote and redirect them to a RTG site and that is okay to do. I think this casino decided to make a marketing deal with a USA facing brand and that is they way of these things now days BUT if they were directing and cross marketing our players that have already played in the casino to another software provider that would be wrong. This is not the case here with this marketing deal.
