If the players were being redirected to a US facing site and we were credited with the sign up, I wouldn't be too unhappy although I still think that's over the top and bad for business. It should be my choice to decide what sites my links go to. When a visitor at my site clicks a link for abc casino, he/she expects to land at abc casino, not xyz casino or some other affiliate portal.

In the case of Focal Click, they are sending players to another affiliate's site. That, to me, is way out of line.

The correct procedure would be to block the site from loading and/or display a message that citizens of the United States are not allowed to access the website.

We all work too hard for our visitors to be siphoned off to a competing affiliate. I'll drop any program that thinks so little of me and my business.

Hi everyone,

Here is a quick update on the points raised in this thread:

1. Referback will be offering affiliates additional revenue from the USA visitors who come through to our non USA casino brands.
2. This is only on casino and not on poker, so CoolHandPoker.com is not affected, neither is Jackpot City Bingo.
3. All redirected visitors, who become active, will be attributed to the affiliate who sent them. Your traffic=your player=your income!
4. Commission will be the full percentage value due based on the player netwin (i.e. 35% is 35%, it's not 17.5%)

To date we have not allowed any traffic sent to us with an affiliate id in the string to be redirected. This was done to ensure we only activated it for affiliates once it had been proven to us that we would be able to track the traffic back to affiliates.

I will be sending out an official communication on this in the next few hours.

No problem, I was hoping to get an official comm's out before it was picked up but you guys beat me to it

I definitely see no downside to this for affiliates as we will be paying the same percentage on redirected players as we do on our own brands - that being said, if an affiliate would prefer to be excluded that can be done.

As for the brand, we're partnering with Slotastic.com to bring players a USA offering.

We don't actually do a hard redirect but simply have a pop-in which offers them a USA specific offer (with download and flash links to Slotastic). They can choose to close the pop-in and continue to navigate the casino site they originally clicked through to.

This lack of actual hard redirects means we can't "redirect" visitors back to an affiliates site who opt out of this USA solution - we simply won't show their traffic the USA pop-in as above.

· Your Affiliate Id will carryover from the referback casino banner or text link, there is no need to apply any new tags to earn revenue from redirected visitors.
· Player acquisition and revenue reports for all redirected players will be provided to ensure you can track your earnings!

a. Where are the reports?
· Reports are currently being developed, timelines to follow soon.
b. How do I get paid?
· All payments for redirected players will be made by the 10^th working day.
c. How will the redirect work?
· The player is not actually forced from the original site to Slotastic.com.
· The player from any region not accepted by MGS will be served a pop-in offering them an offer exclusive to their region with the option to download or play the flash casino. These links are Slotastic.com links where USA players are welcomed with open arms.
d. What casino will it be redirected to?
· The partner casino is Slotastic, visit them at http://www.slotastic.com
e. How do we trust that the third-party casino will be trustworthy?
· The owners of brands supported by referback.com sought out a partner who had an extensive, trustworthy, history in the gaming industry and partnered with them on their new venture, Slotastic.com.
· In addition to this Referback would not lightly entertain any partnership which would be harmful to our affiliates. You are the life blood of referback... without you we do not exist.
