Will I make it to AAC? (Bloody French!!)

Due to set off to Amsterdam this-morning - but I got an early alarm call text message from P&O Ferries at 5:45am saying "Calais Port is closed" due to industrial action by French port workers... AGAIN!!!

This happens about 6 to 10 times every year - but WHY did it have to happen today!

Will set off as planned at 7am, but I could be spending a wonderful day parked on the M20 instead of enjoying the Dutch scenery...

Hope you like our scenery. Rain, rain, rain in JUNE. Oh well, there is always something to do in Amsterdam, so have fun.

Did get there OK - but only by forking out an extra £165 to go on the Eurotunnel

It sounded bad on the TV news - so I wasn't going to risk getting stuck queueing for hours. I actually got to Amsterdam a little bit earlier than planned = more time in the bar!

Will ask P&O for a refund - but I bet they won't cough up...!
