Seems more and more UK operators are worried as the Gambling Commission has been cracking down to ensure that important points about the Gambling Act 2005 are followed.

Mainly T&Cs being visible, 18+ and gambleaware.co.uk.

Anyone changing their site content for this?or even worried themselves?

How would you change your site? That might give people ideas.

Well my site has the relevant content to appease the Gambling Commission. But I've noticed that many of the top sites in Google.co.uk do not.

So, that was why I was wondering why the big sites can't be arsed ;-)

gotcha. I'm have only .com sites, so hadn't given it any thought. I haven't heard much about changing of websites based upon this either - what have you changed?

As mentioned above...

T&Cs being shown next to a bonus offer.
18+ logo.
Gambleaware.co.uk link.

So by being a .com you're not targeting the UK, is that what you're saying?

oh, sorry.. didn't quite catch on to what you meant in that first post.

My sites are in shambles... they are targeting nobody at this point :)

OK no worries was just thinking allowed, I do a lot of PPC with various sites in the UK and still this is not in the adverts... just think the Gambling Commission will, at some point, take a view on aff websites who have anything UK related.

I could just be paranoid though ;-)

Better to be paranoid and meet all regulations, IMO.

If the UK Gambling Commission committed time to stamping out player abuse etc., I'd be all for it. But like always, this red-tape-nonsense, seems to always take presedence.

It does, but a step in the right direction is always good.

Recently added 18+ and GambleAware logo. I already had an article about responsible gaming, better safe than sorry :p

There are actually way more rules than these, but often ignored because they're not enforced... yet. We've had contact from multiple AM's recently about compliance which we're in the process of taking on board, including:

- All offers must have 'T&C's Apply' or 'terms and conditions apply' next to them
- New customer offers must clearly be stated as being only for new customers
- The terms of an offer must be able to be read within one click of where it's listed (this doesn't mean the site, it means the terms for the offer - so we've been told we need to start using landing pages for all offers unless we're detailing the terms on site)

Plus there's a huge list of ASA guidelines that nobody even mentions, but probably wise to be aware of:

- You can't link gambling to sex
- You cannot promote 'guaranteed wins' (ie: the language you need to use is important, so even on Arsenal to beat Hull with a +5 handicap at 1/100 you cannot call it a guaranteed win)

There's a few others, just can't think off the top of my head.
