Just got the following email from StanJames. I have sent them about 10 players this year. Not much I know, but I don't even promote them. Instead of sending me a polite email asking to consider them for extra exposure, they just chop and that's that.

I see users on GPWA complaining that they are sending 10-20 new RMP's per monet and are getting shafted too. Seems pretty scummy to terminate the agreement and then just to pay on commissions due to you up to the time of account closure. Retroactively robbing all future earnings.

Dear XXXX,

Following a management review of all StanJames.com affiliate accounts, we are writing to inform you that a decision has been made to close the affiliate account you hold with StanJames.com. This decision has been made based on the performance of the account.

Any outstanding commission payments due to you up to the time of account closure will be paid in due course.

You may continue to use your betting account if you hold one. No further changes to the way you conduct business with StanJames.com are made by this decision.

We appreciate that you may not agree with the decision. However it has been made at the highest level and is final.

Kind regards,

StanJames.com Affiliate Team.

That... is basically theft. Companies that steal should really be libel and jailed, IMO. Ridiculous!

Worried now.
I have not had any e-mail from them - but they haven't paid me for the last 2 months.
(Not much - only just over the minimum which is why I haven't bothered to chase them)
I'll contact them now & see what they say...

Here's the thread (the latest one, at least) on GPWA: http://www.gpwa.org/forum/stan-james-closed-my-account-217381.html - they're a sponsor over there so I think Michael & co will be investigating.

Dont get me wrong, i learned a bunch at GPWA, and like Michael, but he is after the bottom line also, i think anyone that has 2 eyes open can see that europartners, stanjames and all the other rogues are free to advertise on GPWA if they have the cash they will get the exposure. Maybe im the chump here but i will never touch this sort of group...

Easy question, 1 does it and gets away with screwing affiliates then rest jump on the wagon and follow suit. Unless affiliates start taking class action law suits against these programs, soon we wont have any revenue left and we'll all be out in the cold.

i think anyone that has 2 eyes open can see that europartners, stanjames and all the other rogues are free to advertise on GPWA if they have the cash they will get the exposure.

The GPWA changed its TLD to .org a few years back, supposedly because it better suited the format. Regardless of bottom $ line, the GPWA should put the welfare of its members first. It doesn't do this, would have been better chaning to a .com, least then it would be no mystery that the GPWA was a commercial entity and its bottom line, middle line and top line was to make money, not about looking out for its members. More than enough proof-by-action to support this statement.

I'll add, nothing wrong with going after accounts to pay bills to meet expenses at GPWA, as long as it's done ethically. However allowing any sh#t program who can pony up with a bag of cash, to obtain sponsorship, doesn't imho constitute ethical dealings to ensure GPWA members don't get screwed. That's the BIG problem here. No one gives a toss or if they do, very few say jack about it!

Just an update on my situation:
Got a very short sharp reply that the minimum payment for commission is £200.
No apology that their terms still say £50, or explanation as to why or when they made this change. :(

If I remember correct, the conference goers and others gave these guys an Award last year or the year before didn't they?

Seems I remember seeing a pic of Casselli handing them the award...

What happened since then?
