Hey everyone,

Very new to this all, just getting started with the design and framework for my site. Finding I have a lot of little questions.

How do you guys handle traffic from different countries?

I'd like to have a "play now" button on the front of my site, which takes visitors to the page with my casino listings. Do you guys redirect different country traffic to different casino listings? Or do you just target one country and make 1 listing page? Do you make a listing page that accepts players from multiple countries?

I'm also finding it tricky to easily locate accepted country info on different programs.

ALSO another questions: how do you constantly find inspiration for fresh content/articles? When you started, how many articles did you have saved up to auto-post before you began? What's the longest you've gone without posting something new?

Thanks for answering! Excited to get into this world.

Hi Ray

Geo - targeting is the best thing to do for traffic from different countries. If you want to put the effort into doing this it will give you the best conversions. If you don't want to geo target I would just concentrate on making sure your site has enough options for your players. So for example, if 90% of your traffic is USA then make sure you have a lot of casinos listed where USA players are allowed. The affiliate managers will tell you which countries are not allowed to play at their casinos.

With articles I would just launch and then keep on adding, once you are signed up to the affiliate programs, the affiliate managers will let you know new games and promos, you can use this for ideas for content. I would post as often as you can, if you have time to post every day then do.

Thanks for the reply! Can you explain how to apply geo-targeting? I understand that you mean go after certain regions... but how?

Most affiliates develop a site with enough options to cover the bulk of their visitors. While some
have geo-targeting on their sites, the majority of affiliates do not. To find the list of accepted
countries at the online casinos, you'll often need to look in the "terms and conditions" section
of the actual casinos that are a part of the affiliate program that you are registered with.

As of right now, none of the Microgaming or Playtech casinos accept US players,
none of the Rival Gaming casinos accept players from Canada while a few accept players
from the US, and almost all of the RTG casinos will accept players from the United States.
For anywhere else, you'll need to check the "terms and conditions" or ask the affiliate program.

Creativity plays a big part in this, as you want your articles to be as unique as possible for the best chances of ranking, especially when starting out. For content and to get your site going I usually start out with the basic 'casino review articles' 'how to play each game articles' 'casino bonus and promo articles' and such, then after that really try to branch out. Think outside the box when it comes to adding new articles.

As far as how often.. Myself I try to feed my main sites new articles everyday.. I aim for 3-5 a day but that does not always work out.. I would say I actually average 15-20 new articles a week. I would say when first starting out its very important to establish your site as one that always has new content.. Then as your site grows you can back off a little. I have sites that have held their rankings for a few years now with just a few hundred pages and haven't been updated much since.. But if your going for highly completive keywords you'll want to keep fresh content as a top priority.

These 3-5 articles a day... How long are they? Are your articles as long/short as they were when you started? Asking because to churn out a good 750-1000 words 3-5 times a day would be extremely time consuming..? Do you use hired writers at all?

The articles don't have to be news related. They can be general articles about how to play certain games, or how to increase one's chances of winning, etc.

My articles personally are 'around 500+ words'. They all do not need to be 750+ words at all by any means... Do whatever it takes to make it a good article without really worrying to much about word count. Some posts may be 300 words, while others may be 800, but I myself would call a full article around 500-550 words. And to be honest, no.. I don't write to many of my own articles anymore.. I outsource most of my work to family and friends :)

Hehe, when I read about the number of articles outsourcing was the first thing that came up to my mind, but I didn't expect that. True 'family business' :D

"how to increase one's chances of winning"

For that -if the article should have value- you must own a lot of knowledge about gambling math and some other aspects of the casino world (e.g. personal permanence).

Nobody can write 2-3 articles with quality and value every day. I am a professional writer in my mother tongue (German), and some months only 1 article came from my pen.

Less is sometimes more!
