Progressive jackpot winners?

Linked (over many casinos) progressive jackpots can pay out in the millions. But the casinos do not pay out one massive lump sum to the winner, instead paying out a few thousand per month.

How does this work for afiliates? Are we not affected by progressives due to their nature? Does the progressive win just destroy one months earnings (if you don't have NCO) or does is t completely ruin that casino forever for you?

Have any of you ever had one of your customers land a massive jackpot?

Good casinos payout a progressive jackpot as a whole, not in small sums (a lot of Playtech casinos do).

A progressive win under your affiliate account doesn't matter (if the progam is fair), sometimes it is even a good thing. The money is collected from many casinos and players, so they should not give you negative revenue share for the progressive win.
The casino doesn't have to play the amount themselves, the money is already collected.

Also a lot of jackpot winners play away some of their winnings and that can generate rev share for you.

It is also a nice news item, your player winning the jackpot ;-)

Aah ok. That all makes sense and does ease a lot of my fears.
Thanks for clearing this up for me! :)
