Ryan,

What do you think of creating a default page that is like my AU page with content not specific to any country but make it clear that browser should select a country?

Looking a bit more interesting :) I now know what to expect when I click through!

In all honesty would add a paragraph under everything about the site... But more for SEO purposes then anything else. Maybe below the fold if you don't want to clutter the design. If you add a nice logo to the top I would say that's not a bad start!

I have been working on something similar... I'll post an example of it later.. I've been working on it for some weeks now, can't seem to find a way to make it just right.. But I do like your map image idea.

Yes! Would you mind checking out the changes I made to the landing page today. Would you immediately leave this page now?
I still have a bit of a ways to go before I'm done... But check out my site for an example of what I was saying: monlinecasinos.com

Don't read any of the text lol.. Started drinking so I was more or less just laying out what I will rewrite tomorrow. But the design part I think is finally coming along! Anyway, my point, the content around the Entry pages.

OK good, yeah I would like to get a logo designed. I might leave that to a professional once I have some cash coming in from it! By below the fold what do you mean exactly?

I just had a look. It's a nice clean design you've done. Have just spent a couple of weeks playing around with my design I can appreciate the work involved!

Questions for anybody:

What are the best resources to learn about casino platforms and games other than playing them and reading other affiliates sites?

My assigned affiliate manager from Mr Green has not responded to two emails even though I am registered with them. Even though they are Platinum Certified here that makes me uneasy about starting with them. Should I just go ahead with them or quit? I heard they are big in Europe but I haven't seen them in Australia and only found out about them through Casino Meister so maybe potential for signups as they have a cool site. Anyone had experience marketing them in Australia?

Also,
I have been warned here not to go with Buffalo Partners. My conundrum is that Andrew Stone is the most friendly helpful AM I have communicated with as of yet. He has even organized offline marketing material that he is preparing to send me as well as a custom domain. From reading the forum they have worked with hackers and introduced a high roller clause which is not cool but have they actually defrauded affiliates?

If you want to learn about software platforms... Visit the software platform sites :) netent.com playtech.com microgaming.co.uk

Check out netent.com first.. Sign up for an account in the client area also, they give you an insane amount of information and you can test out each game, read stats and reviews... Pretty much everything!

All AM's are friendly & helpful when you are first starting up - that is their main job - just to get their brands on as many affy sites as possible.
Andrew IS a nice guy - but he doesn't own the company or make their affiliate-unfriendly rules.
Why work with a program which is "slightly dodgy" at best, when there are loads of totally OK programs?

You came to AGD for advice on who to work with or not - if you chose to ignore that advice and find out yourself the hard way WHY they have a bad reputation, that is up to you - it's your time & money that you will be wasting.

Thanks KasinoKing,

I will take it on board. After seeing this forum I can see the importance of affiliates working together and boycotting affiliate unfriendly companies. That way the industry will flourish rather than deteriorate.

Mr. Assistant you have made a start but in order to be successfull these days you need money to invest to make it work and in some markets the competition is very very high and there are some sharks out there to destroy everything you have with negative SEO.

1 site these days is not enough unless you have the skills, countless hours of boring work to get and keep it on page 1.

Lol way to live up to your name...

But I would disagree. I put no money into my sites other then buying content from time to time. And when compared to any other job, I find the work far from borning, in fact I find it exciting at times.

My advice is to come into this as a hobby, and if you enjoy it you will never be wasting your time. If however you find it is a lot of "work" and not the enjoyable kind. I would suggest you spend your hours working on something you do enjoy.

The worst that can happen is you make no money.. but you get some free crash courses in Web design and marketing. No a complete waste of time if you ask me.

The best that can happen is, unlimited and up to how hard your willing to work ;)

Hey RyanWeb I'm interested if you have to work another job still?

Everyone is very different, different income levels, different costs of living.. But for me this has been my only source of income since 2009.

I would say this job is about half hard work, mixed with half luck... As is any sales job. You can make a month's income in one day off one big player if your lucky.. But slow and steady wins the race... Build up a base of players and they will take care of you for a while (why its so important to send them to programs you can trust).

Exactly the same as me - except I gave up my day job in 2008. ;)
I consider I have been EXTREMELY lucky though - as I have very few skills and don't work anywhere near as hard as I ought to.
