Does anyone have a link where I can register for free admission to the G2E conference?

Also, will anyone here be in Vegas at the same time? When are you arriving and leaving, and where are you staying?

My tentative plan is to arrive on Tuesday, October 3rd and leave on Friday the 6th. I haven't chosen a hotel yet, but I might stay at the MGM Grand. Encore is nice, but I don't want to spend $263 a night. Something around $100 would be better.

Has anyone stayed at the Circus Circus? They have rooms for $21, which seems insane. If I stay there, my entire hotel stay would cost less than a single night at the Encore.

Lol, Engineer. That is very cheap indeed! Just imagine how long you can stay there for. For a very long time indeed. What is the Circus Circus like? I've never heard of it but it sounds very fancy and interesting too. Good on you. ;)

As long as it is a "Circus Circus" and not a "F****n Circus" I guess it may be okay. ;)

It's quite a bit off the main strip but if all you plan on doing is sleeping there and getting ready, it will be fine. New York new york is a decent hotel but probably a bit more. The wyn rooms look amazing, we looked around the casino which was very nice.

Stayed there in 2004 (the last time I went to Vegas :() before I even knew what an affiliate was!
It's a very old hotel, but we enjoyed it. Mini-golf and fun-fair in the back = heaven for me.
If it's just somewhere to sleep, what's not to love about that price!

I've stayed in Circus Circus...Twice. It's old and nasty and will be the next one to be leveled (in my opinion).

it's out the way at the far end of the strip and split into two sections with a very busy wide road to cross between the two sections. It's cheap, but crap. But if its just a bed and shower you want, they offer it and you can't expect too much for that price?

I'd look a little more central strip if you can, save your feet.

Would love to go to G2E though, maybe one day?

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Now I'm looking at Harrah's or The Linq hotel, which are more toward the middle of the strip. I'm leaning toward The Linq because it's rated as a 4 star hotel and it has a cool modern look, which I like. It's also close to the monorail, and as of now prices are around $110/night.

There's still time to make reservations for this year, Martyn and KK! ;)

I'll be attending next year. The linq is nice too. If you decide to go all out, the Venetian is a lovely hotel. If you feel really rich, take a helicopter to the grand canyon and then go over the strip as the sun sets. It's amazing.

Dont forget the $30.61 per room, per night resort fee. + the taxes on the room so your $21 room comes out to $100 a night

TIME is not the issue...
MONEY is not the issue...
WIFE & KIDS are this issue!

We would all want to go - and will one day - but not until the kids are a bit older.
LOVE Vegas! ;)

The room tax will cost more than the room rate.

The Venetion, as well as the host of G2E is an enemy of online gaming. As such, while I will be in Vegas during that timeframe, I will not support G2E nor will I set foot in old Sheldon's property.

What's the reasons behind that Shay? Maybe I haven't been in the industry long enough to know that.

Sheldon Adelson is very much anti-online gambling. He funds groups that push for banning online gambling. Considering that I, as a gambling webmaster, promote online gambling - he is my enemy. I will not fund or support (directly or indirectly) my enemy, as that is money that will be directly or indirectly used to control and/or destroy my livelihood. Here's some information regarding Mr Adelson and the agendas he pushes.

Is this not a good thing? Do you think if online gambling goes legal in the USA that you even have a chance to compete with any of these big companies? Can you afford ads on ESPN, can you afford paying $80 a click on google, can you afford the newspaper ads or bill boards, or compete with harrahs who have over 50 million players in their database and can email them instantly,
