I've seen a number of posts on here about spam from various advertisers and i've noticed that even the "better" companies out there are now resorting to dirty and illegal tactics to get customers. My theory is that as companies are squeezed out of various countries, like the UK requiring companies to have licences now and imposing a 15% tax on UK punters, companies are having to lower their morals to try get customers.

One thing I've seen a lot is on illegal streaming sites many big and respectful companies are now advertising on these sites on pop-ups and unders. It really pisses me off sometimes that as an affiliate I work hard to be above board and legal, yet someone running some site from Russia can overwrite all of my cookies with a load of pop outs from their illegal content.

When advertisers go down this route they're thinking pretty short term, because one day all they'll be left with is illegal affiliates and no one else, as nobody else will be able to make money.

Totally agree with you, the amount I've seen on torrent sites and the like is incredible. Most of us on this forum are doing things the right way, the HARD way.
And these buggers are allowed to spam the hell out of us with their pop-ups and the like.

But I guess that's the business we are in, nobody really expected gambling affiliation to always be honourable did they? Frustrating though indeed.

Some programs have shown they wont do anything about this... Only way to stop is for google to receive so many complaints they wont ignore.
Right now they are issuing warnings to hacked with having to do with handbags, pharmacy, and shoes. I have not seen a single case where google is issuing warnings for "this site might be hacked" on gambling in the webmaster product forums.

People need to fill out feedbacks on google search and complain.

I look at it like this...

Crooks and cheats are always thinking up ways to rob people. It's what crooks and theives do!

I don't operate or think like crooks and theives. Hence I don't expect to be shafted or what not, because dodgy shite doesn't enter my mind.
