Hi Peeps,

Just wanted to make those who are not aware of a little clause that BGO have inserted into their T&C's.

In a nutshell, any player you have already referred to BGO and subsequently joins Powerspins from your link will not be paid for.

From the terms:

No commission shall be paid across the BGO Entertainment brands where a player has been acquired and is actively playing through one brand where commission or revenue share has been paid and then subsequently cross sold to the new brand.

Player acquired to bgo.com only = Commission / Rev Share / CPA paid

Player acquired to powerspins.com = Commission / Rev Share paid

Active plyer on bgo.com acquired by affiliate, cross sold to Power Spins by affiliate = NO Commission / Rev share/ CPA paid

Active plyer on powerspins.com acquired by affiliate, cross sold to bgo.com by affiliate = NO Commission / Rev share / CPA paid

Thoughts?

If i'm not mistaken, Player X signs up at BGO from your website. If the same player returns to YOUR website and signs up to Powerspins, they will be detagged and you will not earn commission off them.

Well that's how I read it - but I can't believe they would do that!
Makes no sense...

I have never heard back btw on this and I am really concerned about this affiliate program!

I queried this and was told by Alan that this is no longer the case. I then tried to sign up and it wouldn't allow me saying that I have an account with BGO - Sent him an email about this and never heard back again.

Comissions over the past year have dropped substantially, especially after they said they were not deducting correctly. After that little fiasco, things NEVER looked the same. Not even worth promoting them IMPO.

This affiliate program often talks out of both sides of their mouth. There have been numerous times where they've "adjusted" commissions retroactively (without notice) and that uncredited cross-selling policy is still (from my understanding) very much in effect.

Now, I fully expect "Al" or whatever he calls himself this week to come in here and begin ranting that I'm not actually an affiliate and that I am making stuff up and that the owners of bgo used to be affiliates themselves and they'd never screw over a fellow affiliate.

IF they now (rightfully) credit affiliates for cross-brand referrals and/or for referrals by the affiliate that are subsequently cross-sold by their marketing team, they need to put this in their terms and conditions to protect the affiliate. Being such an "affiliate friendly" program as one would expect a program "owned by a former affiliate himself" should have no qualms sticking this affiliate friendly term in his program's t&c. Plus, such a term would go a long way in answering whether or not it is credited.

For the record - I nudged Allan a bit and received feedback.

The terms were removed and now only reflect that you cannot earn CPA off the same player at another BGO brand. Players will still be tagged to your account. He is also sending me a detailed report on my player and I will investigate where they went.

You may want to confirm (in writing) that this is the case for both players you refer and players they cross promote to.
