This is what I understood too.
All UK players will be directed to play at BetWay - which has a separate affy program.
If you haven't done so already - you need to open an account there and make sure your players remain tagged to you.

If they are migrating players then you would have thought that there would have been some communication from Buffalo - as mapping over needs to be done right.

And even if it is done perfectly ... you can expect a large number of player defections from any forced migration as not everyone will like the new destination. (unless it's sweetened with a new bonus or something)

Was this the plan why Buffalo partners was created in the first place?

lol... I spotted this thread a few hours ago. That identical question crossed my mind too. TBH though, I don't think Buffalo was created for that reason.

However, a lot of MGS casinos, over the past few months, (everyone was led to believe were owned by separate entities), have now been amalgamated to FA/Digimedia. With the merger of Referback and Wagershare in Buffalo Partners, that imo seals the circle. It legitimately allows player information, to be shared, across this entire portfolio of gaming entities.

Maybe these mergers/amalgamations are simply the catalyst of... A well planned strategy, to funnel all their UK players to Betway. And their intentions were ever only focused on Betway holding a UK gaming license, for this Group. To achieve this outcome, the aforementioned mergers/takeovers/amalgamations had to take place.
  • Digimedia/FA/Osiris Trading et al have a staff base of 300+
  • Spiral Solutions/Brightshare et al their staff base is around 200+
  • ForwardSlash/Buffalo et al I'd estimate that to be within similar ranges.
Consolidation can be an excellent way to reduce expenditure, whilst maximising profits.

Better to remove all Buffalo brands on .co.uk sites now as they will not accept new UK players after Sept. 15th ?
Why is there no further information provided about this ?
I have noticed some UK facing affiliate sites removed the microgaming brands.

I have asked my AM but got no reply.

imo after what's transpired lately, this group has it's own agendas, which doesn't seem to be beneficial toward their partners. Seems even basic info requests from affiliates concerning their site management, are being vetoed. At worst these requests are being ignored.

Reiterating, imho it's Wagershare who calls the shots at Buffalo Partners.

Referbacks & Wagershare wasn't a merger, imo it was a take-over. A convenient way to exit the Doghouse and rogue pits.

Asked JPC about 4 hours ago & they said no problems UK players ok to register, although support probably have probably not been told just like us..... Hello Buffalo partners you awake today?

they tell players to sign up at Betway .................

The Million dollar question(s)...
  • Support are telling players to sign-up at Betway when they can't join JPC et al.
  • These players are most likely affiliate referred.
So what's happening to these referred players...

Are they being tracked to Betway from JPC et al OR are these referred players being taken as direct type_ins at Betway?

Albeit this doesn't really affect me cause I don't market to UK. Though I do get the occasional signup. My concerns lay in how this entire operation has been handled (lack of information), which could affect my current players down the road.

Have Buffalo said specifically that the accounts would be tagged? I haven't seen/heard anything along those lines.

Maybe they're hoping by not advising partners either way, affiliates wont yank links and in-turn Betway will get a bunch of free (untagged) players.

Spotted this post by MattsGame, in the 32Red Thread, relating to the GoWild/32Red UK player buy-out.

I want to know what happens if a player is already a member of 32Red and is tagged to another affiliate, hope this don't get messy.

Substitute 32Red for Betway...
