As a business do you operate on morals?

Great discussion guys. Regardless of your political leanings or choices of morality, I think it's great to talk about this stuff in the open.

I've also been thinking a lot about the ethical ramifications of being an affiliate for the last several years. Why should we stop at wondering what businesses or governments we are indirectly supporting?

What about the gamblers who we are sending off to go broke? Do we just rationalize that they would've ended up the same regardless, and we are just sneaking in the middle to cleverly take our cut?

Some affiliates create sites that treat their visitors with respect, help and give them good advice, and provide useful information. They can earn a good living doing that and their sites usually stick around for a lot longer than normal. Then there are the many others who lazily just try to "sneak in the middle to cleverly take a cut" of the poor suckers that they are "sending off to go broke". Its your choice as to what you do, but it looks like you have already made that call.

I agree with you Vladi but where do affiliates draw the line...

Which casinos/sportsbooks etc etc, gets kicked to the crub and who stays? Not too many places have a clean bill of health, if any, in this industry, these days.
On the same token, there are good casinos etc but they have poorly run programs with rogue affiliate terms.

Should affiliates promote these gaming properties because they are good for players, even though they're horrid for affiliates?

I'm not giving credence here to either camp, I'm am however interested in where affiliates make a line in the sand :)
