Only way to cover you and your work from these scammers is to start taking a prepayment. For example half now, half after. Of course you'd lose some opportunities but on the other hand you don't make money from empty promises no matter how great they may be.
Great communication. Not even an email whatsoever. And then one has to read about this here 3 weeks after they have closed :D
I bet their other brands will follow sooner than later...
In case you ran a campaign with a target of 10k visits per month but couldn't deliver it, can you assume you'd still be paid for the whole sum?
Of course it is worrying to hear about threats and wiping out your commission no matter the case. I also understand that the conversion can vary...
At some point you should consider making separate lists for each geo as some brands (many) have restrictions on certain countries and some are localized better. It would help with the conversion.
Yeah, Anjouan license has popped up now more frequently. Probably cheaper and more "flexible terms" than the Curacao 2.0 license from operator's perspective.
Haha, it is so bizarre. We get bombarded almost daily by them about re-listing after we blacklisted them few years ago after some shady shit. Have even blocked them on Skype but they make new accounts and emails to continue :D
And ironically it is extremely hard to get a reply when the matter...
Just got approached by them with a very lucrative deal proposal. Luckily this thread popped up! Thanks for the warnings and good luck to everyone regarding the payments.
It has been seen so many times before in other markets. The stricter the rules the more off-shore unlicensed activity grows. Less tax revenue, but problems are there to stay.
These "awards" are usually bought by the programs. Or they're getting nominations if they buy advertising, VIP tables at the event etc. It is so blatantly done that you can't take anything seriously but at least you get a good laugh :D
Yeah, been having the same problem since last autumn. Using Skrill. And it's been hard to get in touch with them. Does anyone have a responsive contact there?
