So no update - its been about 2 months and google hasn't even looked or replied to our reconsideration request..
Obviously traffic has died a death..
I wonder if theres anyone who we can reach out to about it.
We do reports, thought leaderships general opinion articles which are published on industry and business publications because they are high quality pieces of editorial written by industry experts of 15 years experience plus.
We have never paid for a single link.
The penalty is link related simply all the email said is:
"Unnatural links to your site" with no more information other than a link to an article.
We have done a full audit, aside from the spam we do have some links (like casino testimonials) that could look bad. Which we are in the process...
Its a mix, spammy links to image urls, some .IN domains, some .XYZ and they usual keywords sites.
Also I have noticed someone has created super spammy articles such as "online jobs working from home" with a link to us. Which in my opinion is them trying to make it look like we are badly link...
I have downloaded all site links from three different sources and have gone through them one by one. I have realised that more spam/fake/bad link building has been created, especially in the last month.
I will update the disavow now and hope for the best.
Its probably my fault for not...
We disavowed them about 6 months ago, but more did pop up. But google always says it know what spam is.

Yeah it just says:
"Unnatural links to your site" and "Affects some pages"
But doesn't say which ones?
We have picked up the odd spam link that we have nothing to do with - negative SEO attacks etc but we have disavowed these plus google keeps saying they know about spam etc etc!
So...
We have just got a notification from google:
"1 issue detected
Pages affected by manual actions can see reduced display features, lower ranking, or even removal from Google Search results."
It doesn't say anything else? So how are we supposed to address this?

I have experienced this also. I still don't understand why they do this in the first place??
I also have it where the content is showing in serps (exact match search) then when you click the serp link you are re-directed to a casino via affiliate link.
Well yes speed is a ranking factor already but CWV is more focused on UX-related signals (speed being one amongst other things) in the bigger picture of user experience.
I am not a developer or coder and have had two developers work on the site and theres no more they can do without total...
